"You mean I can make gas from corn? Corn we grow right here? Sign me up!" Nevermind that we can't even grow enough corn to make ethanol and eat at the same time. That and 'clean coal' ("It *can't* be bad. It's got the word 'clean' in it") are probably going to be the biggest obstacles to meaningful clean power in this country. It's made from corn that is grown using fossil fuels. It takes something like 55 gallons of oil to grow and harvest one acre of corn, not to mention the oil it takes to process and ship the corn.
