First Hike of ’09

I’m back from Vegas and CES, and still recovering from the madness of it all — but I did take some time out today to hit up a reader-suggested hike with my fancy new DSLR.

Despite the heat — and later in the day, the gusting winds — it was a beautiful trail in a great landscape that reminded me just how damn lucky we all are to live in California.
