Since the holiday-purchasing-frenzy season is now officially upon us, I figured now would be a good time to start gathering all of the products and items I use on the trail into one place for readers to buy. Thus, the Shop page is now officially live.

You’ll notice the addition of a SHOP button on the top navigation menu as well as the visual sidebar to the right. Eventually I’ll make it look a little nicer and add more items, like trail foods and Modern Hiker themed items, but for now, you’ll be able to snag links to lots of great clothes and gear, from trekking poles to boots and GPS receivers.

A lot of the retailers are running some great sales (especially on tents and backpacks) right now, so it’s definitely worth checking out. Not only can you get some great, Modern Hiker-approved gear, but every purchase you make helps keep Modern Hiker up and running, providing you with detailed trail write-ups and GPS tracks for free!
