Time Lapse Video from the Alps

by Modern Hiker on December 3, 2009

Since people seemed to dig the last HD time lapse video I dug up, I decided to share a new one that just made its way to the surface of the web.

This one was shot in the Swiss Alps by a Swiss physicist named Michael Rissi, who is also using a fancy Canon camera. This series is twice as good because it comes in two parts, featuring both day and night of some strikingly beautiful mountain scenery. It’s almost enough to make you grab your hiking boots and bolt for the door – so be careful if you’re watching it at work, alright?

Man, I love Beethoven and these are great uses of those peices.

Great shots. There is a lot of buzz about the new Canon cameras and what they are capable of. I have a feeling we will be seeing many more videos like these in the coming years of our favorite outdoor spots.
